Computer Sciences (Datalogi) at RUC, in a B.A. with International Development Studies as the second subject, awarded in January 2001.
Studied Computer Sciences as one of the two subjects in a B.A., and specialized in front-end UI/UX and JavaScript in the later semesters.
- Each semester centred on a group project that ran the full software lifecycle, from analysis and requirements to documentation.
- System design and implementation were learned by building working software, with courses supplying the theory each project needed.
- Testing and documentation were part of every project.
- The programme covered general software-development practice and the design of IT systems.
The second subject was International Development Studies, the non-technical counterpart: analysing political and economic systems rather than building software ones. It covered international organizations, regional integration and trade with EU decision-making as the main case, and theories of economic development.
